Over the last 10 years, Get Fokus’d Productions has served over 15,000 students through workshops, presentations, and apprenticeships.

Get Fokus’d Productions (GFP) develops and designs curriculums to teach soft skills through the implementation of photography, film, and creative writing programs. Students develop skills in photography & film, literary arts, organization, planning and goal implementation strategies.

Students are encouraged to tap into their potential through media arts to share how they view the world around them. Students learn the basics of photography while also incorporating elements of literary arts.

Walk & Capture is a unique street photography workshop that takes its participants on a hands-on capturing journey around the community.

This program culminates with a gallery showcase displaying a selection of photographic work captured during our workshop and a distribution of booklets filled with a collection of images from our participants.

Program: Through the Lens School: Waterfront Elementary Duration: 6 Day Residency (Over the course of 6 weeks) Booked Through: Young Audiences End Product: Collective Photo Book Get Fokus'd Productions takes a hands-on approach to teaching, utilizing digital cameras and iPads.

Through the Lens is a creative media arts program with a ‘fokus’ on Photography and Literary Arts. Participants will learn about the similarities of the camera and the pen/pencil and how both can capture a story.

This program culminates with a gallery showcase displaying a selection of photographic work captured during our program and a distribution of booklets filled with a collection of images from our participants.

This summer, Get Fokus'd Productions (GFP) provided the Young Audiences' ArtWorks Apprentices with "Through the Lens" photography programming that utilized the camera as a tool to not only teach photography skills but also assist them in developing the knowledge, skills, work habits, and character traits that are critically important to success in collegiate programs, contemporary careers and workplaces in this 21st century and beyond.
