Tales from the Porch: Expanding Perspectives program is designed to expand the perspectives and build empathy of community members by encouraging them to develop, build and write poetic & visual stories based on a variety of written pieces from authors and other community members. By exploring and sharing stories, participants will learn to appreciate different perspectives and develop a deeper level of empathy for others.
The program for grades 3rd-5th has been refined to provide immersive experiences in digital storytelling and literary arts. Through hands-on activities, students will engage with stories that affect both their own growth and the wider community.
